"Opportunities are created, NOT GIVEN."

Backstory:
I come from a humble background from a small village in Raipur, India. I was fortunate to move to Mumbai, India’s financial hub, to pursue a postgraduate degree in Management (Finance) at Mumbai University.

The capital market dream and the journey started in the early 90s with stints in several brokerage houses & global firms like UBS and Peregrine Securities. I was a founding member of Motilal Oswal’s institutional broking business.

2001 saw a major shift for my career when I joined Reliance Group, playing a pivotal role in transforming the company’s equity AUM from ~USD 2 million to ~USD 17 billion over a decade, thus making Reliance Mutual Fund (now Nippon India AMC) one of India’s largest asset management firms.

On the Lookout for:
I am always looking for the next growth story and hungry founders. I started MK Ventures/ Invexa Capital in 2017, a platform designed to attract domestic & global capital to participate in the phenomenal India growth story.

My passion is evaluating and understanding founders and businesses and mentoring them to capture the full potential of the business and get rewarded by the markets. I am mentoring the team in building Singularity AMC—a Growth Equity focused platform.

Personally, I am keen to do my bit for the society and give back through my philanthropic ventures—Konark Cancer Foundation where I am a Trustee. I also actively volunteer with the Isha Foundation. I continue to educate and inspire investors through conferences and events, all while contributing to causes that improve lives and communities.
